Outdoor education in Hampshire

The sessions have been varied, inclusive, and highly engaging. We have seen clear improvements in pupil confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with students encouraged to work collaboratively and step outside of their comfort zones. Laser tag was a particular highlight and a firm favourite across both groups.

What truly sets this provision apart is the flexibility, professionalism, and understanding of Special Educational Needs. The well-structured activities, supportive staff, and ability to adapt at short notice have made this a highly effective and enjoyable experience for our pupils.

Despite their varied personalities, from the naturally confident to the quieter and more cautious, every student has taken part in the same activities with genuine enthusiasm. No matter the starting point or personal challenges, they’ve all shown incredible engagement, encouragement, and resilience.

Students who were initially quiet, reserved, or lacking confidence have started to come out of their shell through taking part in the sessions and becoming part of a team. They’ve supported one another brilliantly, offering help, encouragement, and motivation to peers who found activities challenging or were hesitant to take part.

We’ve seen students think strategically, persevere through unfamiliar tasks, and show real resilience. When something doesn’t come easily, they stay focused, try different approaches, and keep going until they succeed.
