About Us

Our Story

The Outdoor Ed School was established to address a growing need among teachers for affordable, hassle-free outdoor learning opportunities. Our vision is simple: to ensure students can engage in enriching outdoor activities without placing the burden of complex planning, staffing, or high costs on teachers.

By offering mobile activities, The Outdoor Ed School brings these valuable experiences directly to schools, clubs, and events — making outdoor learning accessible to all, no matter the budget or location.

We offer a wide range of expertly crafted, easy-to-use outdoor resources, online courses, and affordable events or camps — all designed to align with your students' key stage learning outcomes.

The Hub
Packed with team challenges and individual problem-solving tasks, The Hub is designed to be your go-to resource. All challenges use everyday items, or you can simply print off an activity sheet to get started. It’s designed for ease and effectiveness.

Online Courses
Our online courses provide everything you need to know to run activities that fulfill the "adventurous activity section" of the national curriculum. With options like:

  • Sucker archery

  • Club throwing

  • Pioneering

  • And so much more!

You’ll have the guidance and confidence to lead engaging, curriculum-aligned adventures.

Activity Events & Camps
Booking an activity event or camp with us is straightforward and affordable. We design bespoke programs around your students' needs and interests, ensuring they experience a mix of exciting, hands-on activities that will improve their social skills, help them hit outdoor curriculum targets, and have fun at the same time.

Schools that book with us also gain complimentary access to our online CPD courses, enhancing your staff’s professional development.

Why Choose Us?
Our resources are developed by experienced outdoor educators with over a decade of expertise in alternative learning environments. Each resource is rigorously reviewed by teachers to ensure it is practical, relevant, and, most importantly—fun!

With The Outdoor Ed School, you can give your students the transformative outdoor experiences they deserve, with the support you need to make it all happen.

For over 10 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of schools, delivering outdoor activities and alternative learning programs. I've witnessed countless "lightbulb moments" with students, and my mission is to create resources that empower you to facilitate those moments, as well as provide meaningful outdoor activity events and school camps even as budgets tighten.

I'm always looking to get outdoors and be active, and I'm keen to spread that feeling with everyone that I work with. Growing up in the New Forest has really helped me want to get more kids out the classroom for more adventurous learning.
